Question
We love to walk, we walk 45 min after work. Winter is coming. I live in upstate NY. I have a sweater, then a warmer coat, Then a winter coat & a hat for him for real bad cold weather. He's a bigger boston, muscular. I know they cant stay out side. I will be with him always. But what are your thoughts on this. How do they do. Am I being too protective. This is my first dog ever, I have raised children but there independent now.  Thank you so much I am glad your hear, this is really bewilderring me.

Hello Adrienne- I am sorry it took me so long to get to your question.  I have been very ill with a sinus infection.

Ok, sounds like you have done a good job with your boy's coat and sweaters.  If the weather is below 20 you may want to get some booties.  Also, if he doesn't like the booties then buy some  Black salve to save his paw pads from frost bite.

Here is what I use:

Black Salve - Keeps the Paw pads Tough and safe from the Elements....
Apply before walks or apply each morning... Safe and Natural

COLLOIDAL MINERALS (32 FL OZ)/  This is very good to take 1 tablespoon per day - mixed into his food

Keep him on short walks of only 15 minutes, when the temperature is below 10 degrees.  ( to protect his airway)
