Separation Anxiety

Question
We have a 2 year old male Boston Terrier.  He is capable of "holding it" but sometimes when we leave him alone he goes to the bathroom on the floor and eats it.  We never leave him alone without taking him out first and I don't know what to do?  Is this a pooping on the floor and eating it a form of separation anxiety and if so what can we do?

Answer
Hi Jessica,

First, you can get something from your vet to stop him from eating feces.
And, yes, they are a spoiled breed and you are lucky that is all he is doing. Mine has fits and will tear up something just to let me know she is lonely. You can try leaving the tv or radio on. This seems to help to hear regular household noises.
