Question
I have 11 1/2 week old female Boston Terrier that doesn't poop a lot. It has me worried a little. We feed her around 6 am and then around 10 am this morning and she still hasn't pooped since we first took her out at 6. she seems to only poop 2-3 times. We are feeding her Purina Puppy Chow 3 times a day about a 1/2 cup each. It this normal for her? How often should she be going?

Answer
Hi Thomas ; I would slowly give this puppy a better quality food --- Add one of the following foods to the Puppy Chow ( a 50:50 mix for 3 weeks)...  ( after the 3 weeks, get rid of the puppy chow)
Look for : Innova PUPPY; Merrick ; Solid Gold; or Wellness
All for puppys
Also, give this pup some pure canned pumpkin ( NO sugar added pumpkin pie filling) - Give 1 teaspoon per day for 1 week and then 1/2 teaspoon per day - long term.
Will help to firm up the poops and very healthy for her, too.

Please call the NuVET folks and get this little one onto 1/2 a NuVET wafer treat per day -
NUVET keeps them healthy and Keeps the VET away...  NuVET is a Wonderful vitamin for Bostons.
