heat cycle

My female boston terrier is 1 year and 1 month old and she hasn't come into heat yet is that normal? Should I have her checked by the vet?

Hi Tish.  How much does your boston terrier weigh?  It has been my experience that the larger bostons tend to go into heat later, and sometime only have one heat per year.
