QUESTION: I have a boston that is 7 yrs old and got out and about while in her last heat.She had been gone for days.we were all worried.. but she came home and not alone. Now we have discovered that she is expecting.. we do not know how far along she is tho. shes getting pretty big. and she has started producing milk.do u know about how much longer?she brought home a pit bull. i am hoping and praying that hes not the daddy and the winners on the next street are since thats were she was. i do not have the money to take her to the vet and was wondering if u had any advise for me when and how i can help her deliver them and keep her safe.. i dont want to lose her but i own theres a good possibilty that i can and will..

ANSWER: Brandy - Please take her to the vet - I know you don't have much money but they may be able to work with you on payment.
Plus, many Vet offices have the CARE credit you can apply for.
This credit card helps folks with Vet bills.  You would make small payments each month on your balance.
Many Bostons Need C - sections for delivery of the pups.
Please have the vet look at her and measure her belly.
I hope the pitbull is NOT the Dad, too!

QUESTION: i have been calling around all day.. i had asked if it was possible to rid the puppies and not the mom.. i know this is mean and cruel.. they said yes but they would have to fix her but the pups would be alive because they seem to think from what i have told them that my boston zoe only has two weeks or so.. i told them if the pups were alive i would take them.. i would not want to kill them.. then it was another story of how they cant do that.. and i would have to c section them..is that true..i guess it is really all about the money.. it is what makes the world go round.. do u think that they are saying that cause i would want to keep them.. why couldnt they do this out of the kindness of their cold hearts.. to help me save her and her pups and not have to lose any of them...

As for the pups, yes- I think the only way to go is a C-section.
No other options here----
Or, you can go to a Rescue service - they may pay your C-section bills as long as you give them MOM and the pups.  You may loose your option to keep any of them.
( rescues, many times, will make you sign over your pet to them for ownership)
