Question
Our male Boston Terrier recently bred with a female Boston Terrier (both registered), but shortly thereafter the female also was caught breeding with another male dog (not a Boston Terrier).  She just had a litter of seven puppies, three of which are black with white markings.  The others are brindled with a small amount of white and one is solid black.  The other dog was roughly the same size, but the female's owners didn't know what kind he was.  Is there a way to tell which have been fathered by our dog?  Also, all of them have long tails.  From an earlier answer you gave, I understand that is no indication, but I wanted to double check my interpretation of your answer.  Thank you very much.

Answer
Hello, i don't remeber telling you bostons with long tails are purebred? Boston terriers NEVER come out with full tails they are born with short tails unlike jack russell terreirs whose tails or docked shortly after birth. PureBred Boston Terriers will have short taisl ranging from nothing to 2-3 inches nothing longer. All the puppies colors sound pure but the solid black cant be there is no pure black bostons in record of being pure that I have heard of. It sadly sounds like they are not purebred, wait until they are 3-5 weeks old you will then know if there pushed in faces match there mother and father and such but the long tails tells me they are Not purebred....no purebred registered boston puppies would be born with full tails.
