Question
Our 7 year old BT suddenly started gagging and vomiting quite frequently.  I don't know if it ate something or what. Then it keeps licking it's nose and breathing like there is something wrong in his throat or nose.  He sleeps alot and continues to gag and drool some. The only time it seems to breath better is if he is sleeping. He will lick his nose constantly. We changed him to soft food, and just feed him small amounts of food at a time. I don't know whether it is a stomach issue or breathing problem.  When we contacted a vet, we were told that it would be at least a $500 fee to check him out. He will stand with his head stretched out and lick his nose for long periods of time. Very annoying and then rasping in his throat, and gagging. He is not as active as he usually is.

Answer
Hi Lorna, Please call around and get this Boston into a VET ASAP... This will not go away.  There is an obstruction in his palate or airway.  He need to see the VET...
Please - See if you can get a payment plan with someone.
There is also a credit card for pet emergancies called CARE Credit ..
see here;

If it is not an obstruction it may be CHF - congestive heart...
Please don't delay.

Wish that I could help you more!  Sorry
