Question
Is it true that Boston terriers have to have their puppies delivered by surgery only due to the size of the puppies heads? We have a female who is now going through her first heat and we were thinking of breeding her until two different people have said they can not have puppies delivered the natural way? Is there any truth to this? Thanks for your help.
Denise

Answer
Yes, the Boston breed 90% of the time will have a C-section.  The heads are just too big for the birth canal.  Talk to your local vet about this and the charges.  Ask around and see what the local vets charge for C-Section assistance.

YOUR friends are correct about this.
