URINATION IN SLEEP

Hi.  I own a 4 month old Cane Corso who is experiencing urination while she sleeps.  The first time this occurred I thought it was because she was just exhausted, I usually take her on long walks and as soon as we come home she will take a nap.  The second time this occurred there was no activity going on before, she just went to sleep and next thing you know she is urinating.  And, what really worries me is that she does not wake up, she does not even know it is happening.  Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

Incontinence at this age is not common.  I would recommend taking a urine sample to the vet to rule out urinary tract infection.  If there isn't any infection, then I would recommend x-rays and a possible dye study to look for birth defects.  If everything turns up normal, she could be put on Proin to help with the incontinence.  I would wait to spay her until 1 year old.
