QuestionI have a 5yrs old female cocker spaniel who has developed a couple of skin warts - the vet tells me this is quite common but has never excised any. I do not want her to go through this unless absolute necessary - so my question is are there any other ways of dealing with them ? cryo medicine as one would in a human or is a cream or ? some thing else which deal with them - she is a grooming school exam model and with these it is not so good for the pupils
Thanks
AnswerI do not like cryosurgery because there is too much damage done to the surrounding tissue. Instead, I use a laser, which precisely cuts out the tumor leaving a small hjole that closed in 2-3 weeks. In some small tumors, I will use the laser to melt the tumors away rather than excising them.
