Grub worms

Question
I have a new lab puppy about 2 months old. I have caught her with grub worms in her mouth several times after letting her out in the back yard to potty. Are these a danger to her? If so, what can I do? I do not know of her ever eating or swallowing one but it is possible.

Answer
Most likely they will not cause any problems, but could lead to stomach upset as any foreign matter may.  Your best bet is to keep her leashed when outside and tell her "NO" when she goes to pick up things she is not supposed to.  Or you could fit her with a basket muzzle.  Labs are notorious for putting EVERYTHING in their mouths.
