Cat brings catch home

Question
My Cat keeps bringing things like lizards, bats, birds, and on one occasion a mole home.  Why do they do that?

Answer
Because cats are mini lions. Cats are hunters just like lions, cheetahs and cougars, all big cats. One of the reasons cats do so well as feral cats is because they can hunt on their own-they don't need a pack to hunt like a dog would.
One of the reasons they bring them to you is because you are her master and she is trying to please you and show you what a good provider she is. If she was a mother cat she would bring these things home for her litter to eat and learn to hunt with.
My cat would bring home live animals to teach her babies to hunt when they were around 8 weeks old. A bit young but they tried!
Just tell her she is a good kitty and pat her on the head and let her dispose of the critters or you can remove them and dispose of them once she has lost interest.
They can get tapeworms from eating mice so don't let her eat them. They can get really sick from eating lizards so that's another no-no.
She is just a good hunter!
