Mommy cat/kitten cold?

Question
Hello,
I took in a stray cat who was pregnant & she had kittens 7 weeks ago (today). I have screened people & have found homes. The problem is the Mom cat started sneezing yesterday! Now I noticed 2 kittens who are sneezing a bit...my question. Someone who fosters cats suggested giving her amoxicillan in her food so she'd be on an anti-biotic & to put it in their food. I'm so confused!

Answer
Well I am not sure what you are confused about? You haven't asked me a question I can answer.
Stray, non-vaccinated cats tend to get upper respiratory viruses a lot.
These can be self-limiting and will go away on their own in a few weeks or they can be very serious ones like panleukepenia(feline distemper).

The most common one they get is Rhinotracheitis, which causes sneezing, a very thick discharge from the eyes and the nose. This can get so bad that the cat won't eat or starts to breathe through their mouth, and cats only do that when they are desperate!

So since I don't know what your question is, I can tell you that a trip to the vet is in order here for kittens and the Mom.
