Question
For about a month now my 3 year old male jack russell had been itching, and has never before. This past week it has gotten progressively much worse. Constant itching all over and biting. There is not one area worse than another. It is all over. He woke me up last night in a scratching panic. He's even broken skin on his legs. He has not had any new food or shampoo brands, and is treated by frontline for fleas. I do, however suspect fleas because I am itchy too when at home. I haven't seen any on him though. What do you think this could be? I don't want the poor guy to be in agony anymore.

Answer
Oh, I be he is allergic to the fleas...even just one bite can drive his skin crazy.
Here are some options to try:

First off - Take him away for 12 hrs and do a House treatment...one of the bombs?  Make sure all humans, plants, fish, bids and anything that needs O2 is taken out of the house for 12 hrs.  When you get home open windows and air out the place.

Next, Please get some benadryl into this boy - give him (1-2) 25 mgs of benadryl tonight)  - Tomorrow just give one 25 mg of benadryl every 8 hrs.

Call Joan tomorrow and get some NuVET Plus - This is the BEST skin healer and Allergy buster in the country - this will help to reduce the reaction to the bugs and other allergens that are hitting him.
Tell JOAN you want some NuVET Plus - Get at least the 90 count bottle - It will cost you about .50 Cents per day for the NuVET program.  Excellent and guaranteed to help ...or your money back.
