side effects of fixing your female dog

I recently got my dog fixed.  since then her wound has healed nicely but i've noticed her genitals are swollen...is this normal.  i might be paranoid, but it seems like she even notices, she seems to always be licking herself.  it almost looks like she is in heat but i know this is not the case.  do you know anything about this?  thanks!

This is a normal healing process in spaying your female dog. It will take a few weeks for your dog to return to her normal self. If your dog is still swollen after a few weeks, bring her back to your vet for a check-up.
