Question
I've researched the internet, but I can never get a straight answer. I've decided to come here. I really want to become a veterinarian, but I have no clue the basics of it. Such as, the length it takes, and more importantly if I am too old to even consider getting into this. I'm very passionate about animals, and it's really been a long time dream of mine to do this. I'm 24 years old, but like I said, I don't know if it's really too late to get into this! Any links or information you would be willing to give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer
I don't know where you live or how much college you have had, but basically you will need a bachelor's degree with many pre-vet requirements fulfilled depending on which vet school you want to go to.  Vet school is 4 years more. It takes at least 8 years to get through undergraduate and graduate studies.  If you start now, you are not too old.
