QuestionHi,
I have an 8 year old American Eskimo, named Picco. Recently, the outer areas of his nose have become so dry that they are scaly. I wonder if this is dangerous and what it can come from. We recently got a kitten, and I found Picco in the cat litter a few times, but I don't know if that is coincidental.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

AnswerHi Florence!
Get Picco to see the vet. He may just have dry skin or an underlying skin problem in general, which is normal to see on the nose.
For now go ahead and use omega fatty acids ( you can get these at a pet store) to help with his skin.
It could be the litter (an allergy), but it all just may be coincidental.
hope this helps some!
