Question
QUESTION: I never received your answer so i am asking you again... Hi i am very sorry for taking up your time but its really bothering me that i don't know why my dog just past away three days ago and i don't know why... on Friday she was laying on the couch and she stretched and started whimpering and shaking we just thought she popped a hip or something and the next few days she moped around and Saturday night she was shaking for no reason... on Sunday morning i found her laying on the floor not moving with her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth and spit coming out her mouth and she was shivering so i covered her up with a blanket and twenty minutes later she was dead"

ANSWER: There are many reasons she could have died. Usually they will not whimper and shake, then mope around for days just from a problem with joints or muscles. It sounds more like she had a seizure but they do not usually die from seizures. The most likely thing, in my opinion, is that she got into some poison, although usually that will cause some vomiting and diarrhea along with the shaking. Kidney disease or a blocked bladder can also cause a build up of a poison that can kill them, but again, it usually takes months to years before they would die from that.

I am sorry that I cannot be more certain of the cause of her death.

QUESTION: What about chicken bones??? could it have punctured something? because she could have gotten in to the garbage... thank you for your help

Answer
Dried out, cooked chicken can occasionally cause problems, but the dog's stomach can usually handle them, so it is possible but not likely. Thousands of people are now feeding raw chicken legs - meat, skin, bone and all.

While not 100%, you coul dcall a pet psychic to see if they can say why your dog died. www.animaltalk.net lists a number of good ones and many have web sites.
