Question
My 1 yr old german shepherd is limping from rear leg while walking. some 1 mention he has PANEL. I don't have any clue. what  you think it is and what's the solution?
I was feeding him eukanubah

Answer
The two most common causes of rear limb lameness that I would consider possibilities for him would be patellar luxation or cruciate ligament tearing.  In patellar luxation the knee cap slides out of the groove that it normally sits in leading to lameness.  With the cruciate ligament there can be a sudden complete tearing or gradual incomplete tearing of the ligament at the knee.

Additional possibilities would be trauma such as being hit by a car if there is any possibility of him having gotten free and out of your sight or hip dysplasia which is most commonly found in large breeds.

I would suggest having him examined by your veterinarian who will also be able to do a neurological examination and x-rays to help diagnose the problem.  Surgical correction may be needed depending on the severity and cause that is found.

I hope this helps.  Best of luck to you and your canine companion.
