Question
I have a cat that gave birth to two little baby kittens. for the first two weeks everything was fine. Until today one of the kittens have gone missing. it's impossible really.. the Table is so up high . and. the area is secured for the baby to get anywhere. the only thing that i think would take the babies are the father of the kittens. is that possible?
will i ever get my kitten back ?
will the mother find the kitten?
I've hid the other kitten so the mother would look for the other one. I dont know if that's a good idea. but , the kitten has been gone for the whole day now. and I really want the mother to somehow find it. I've looked everywhere i could .but no sign. No kitten noises whatsoever. please help.

Oh, and i also kind of panicd and left the kitten on my bed and it fell and made a bumping noise, is she gna be okay? she's fine now . but I dno if she really is okay. i love my kittens to death. so, please guys. please help me.

Answer
Put the kitten back in with the mother. Some mothers will move their babies on their own for whatever reasons. If you have a male cat that is not neutered it is possible for him to have taken the kitten and killed it. Sometimes they do that for reasons I won't go into here. Cats move their kittens by grabbing them at the back of the neck (the scruff) with their mouths and carrying them to the new places, places she feels are safer.

You need to just let the Mom be with her baby and when that baby is 6 weeks old you should get the mom neutered too (and the male should be done now) so she doesn't have any more kittens.
