why is my dog waking up?

Question
I have a 7 year old crate trained Vizsla who has always slept through the night, unless there was a power failure (the beep from the microwave going off upsets her.) A few weeks ago, we replaced out thermostat timer for our furnace/air conditioner system.  It is a Honeywell timer.  The day after it was installed, Belle started waking up and barking and crying at EXACTLY 5:30 every morning, like she was afraid. I get up and go into the kitchen and tell her to hush and go to sleep. I do not get her out of her crate, so there is no secondary gain to this behavior. I have gotten up and waited to see if I could hear anything, and the day I did, she slept and nothing happened.  COuld the thermostat be emitting some sort of signal that sounds to her like a the intermittant beep of a power failure? what could be waking her up at so consistant a time?

Answer
I am not sure if the thermostat is making a noise or not...I would recommend calling Honeywell and asking them.

Maybe there is something outside that is annoying her.  Has your evening schedule changed at all?  A different play or walk or feeding time?

You can add Rescue Remedy to her drinking water to help with the anxiety as well as getting Comfort Zone Diffuser with D.A.P. to see if that helps her.
