Question
hi
Yesterday we took out 11 mnth old puppy to the dog park. This isnt our frist vist infact because of her energy level we go there as much as 3-5 days a week so she can run and play with other dogs besides last week (we were do busy we were not able to go). She was running around like normal then we notice she had some foam coming from her mouth. This is the frist time this has happened to her. Shes has all her shot, shes fed high quality dog food and shes at a healthy weight. She didnt do anything different from normal. I was wondering why did she foam at the mouth. Once we got her home and washer her down (she was muddy) she didnt foam at all. We have a 10 week old pup as well who has her frist set of shot so if i could possible be illness i want to get it fix before our young one gets it.
Thanks for the advice!

Answer
Dogs will foam at the mouth any time they smell something really exciting or gross. They will foam from eating grass or dog poop.
It depends on the type of dog also. Some dogs are more prone to drooling and foaming than other dogs.

I doubt if it's an illness at all. Just keep an eye on your dog and if she acts lethargic, or has diarrhea or vomits, then I would worry and get her to the vets.
