4 year old dog and bowel movements

Question
Hello,
My 4 year old dachshund/terrier mix has not had a bowel movement since around 7 on Thursday night (it is now around 11 on Saturday night).  He has been eating and drinking as well as urinating, he just doesn't seem to have the interest in going poop.  We just moved into a new house, so could that be the case? I thought he may just be constipated but wouldn't he still be trying to poop if that were the case?  I rubbed his stomach to see if there was any pain and he seems fine - completely happy about the attention and running around/playing as usual.

Help!

Thanks!

There is a possibility that your dog may not feel comfortable having a bowel moment if he is not familiar with his surroundings.  Give him about two more days to get used to his surroundings and if he does not go to the bathroom, have him examined by a veterinarian. As you probably are aware, if your pup does not have a bowel movement, he may become uncomfortable and may eventually develop serious problems.
