One watery eye

Question
Hi, my 1.5 year old Alaskan Klee Kai's (a miniature husky) left eye has been more watery than normal.  She doesn't appear to try to rub it.  I gave her some benadryl and it seems the wateriness has gone down.
I'm not sure if this is something I should bring her in for-or have her on benadryl for a while (and how long should I trial the benadryl for)?
This is her second winter/spring but 6 months ago we moved from Iowa to Minnesota and I'm not sure if that would cause any allergies.
Any advice?  Thank you!

Answer
While she could be experiencing allergies for just one eye to be affected would have me think that she might have gotten something in that one, or scratched the surface of it.

I would have it looked at closely by your vet. You don't want your dog on Benadryl for very long. The vet can give you some eye drops or ointment depending on what he sees in the eye or on the surface.

It's always a smart move to have it looked at when it comes to the eyes.
