Question
My 6 yr. old male neutered cat started losing weight in June 08 and now weighs 5 lbs.  My vet suspects abdominal cancer and said there is nothing to help him at this point. In research, I came across herbal supplements for cancer and immune care. Have you had any experience in this type of treatment?  Do you have any suggestions?

His appetite is suppressed; he basically only likes dry dog food (Iams) but recently I have gotten him to eat dry cat food.  He does not like table food, milk, cheese, etc. Any suggestions on how to encourage him to eat?

Thank you for your time!

Did you have a biopsy done?  Abdominal ultrasound is also a viable diagnostic tool to use that can help to diagnose abdominal cancer.
Unfortunately, I do not use herbal supplements for my cancer patients.

If he has abdominal cancer, it will be very difficult to get him to eat anything because he may feel so sick.  Abdominal cancers can be very aggressive and cause cause great discomfort to those that re affected with it. Have a definitive diagnosis done to determine if he  really has cancer, then you can decide what your next step will be.
