Vaccinationing my puppy

Question
Hi, I have a 8 week old puppy. He is part Lab/Vizsla, 10 and a 1/2 lbs. I need to get him vaccinated. But I don't know if it will be safe for him right now. This is my problem. Monday the 8th. My pup got into some mice poison that we didn't know that we had. We rushed him to the our vet. And she took care of him. Made him Throw-up and gave him a shot to clott up his blood. And I am giving him Vitamin K for two weeks. He is doing really good, being his self. And I haven't seen any bruising. So will vaccinating my pup be safe for him right now?  Thank you for your time!

Answer
You might want to wait another week since his immune system is building up his blood at the moment. As long as you keep him inside and do not take him to any parks or public places- in other words in the house, he has less chance of being exposed to any viruses.

Now parvo is a hardy virus that you can bring home on your clothes, shoes, tires. So change clothes when you come home before handling him and get him in to the vet next week for your vaccinations.

Did she say anything to you at the time he was seen by her?
If in doubt, call the office tomorrow and ask them to ask the vet.
