HII HAVE A 7YR OLD BEAGLE...

HI
I HAVE A 7YR OLD BEAGLE MIX . SHE HAS STARTED TO HAVE WHAT LOOKS LIKE
PANIC ATTACKS . SHE USE TO DO THIS ONLY WHEN SHE HEARD FIRE WORKS , BUT
NOW SHE IS HAVING THEM FOR NO REASON AT ALL . MAYBE 1 EVERY 6 TO 8 WEEEKS
SHE WALKS AROUND , PANTING ,TRYING TO FIND A SPOT TO HIDE . UNDER THE
BED , BEHIND THE COUCH . SHE WILL SHAKE , AND CRY AND LOOK AT HER BEHIND
FOR SOME REASON . THIS WILL LAST UP 1 OR 2 HOURS , BEFORE SHE WILL SETTLE
DOWN.IS THERE SUCH A THING LIKE PANIC ATTACKS FOR DOGS , AND IS THERE
MEDICATION OR TREATMENT  TO HELP HER WHEN THIS HAPPENS . THANKS FOR ANY
HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME .

Hi there!  Yes, dogs can have panic attacks.  They can be brought on by what looks like nothing, but something is scaring her. It could be something as simple as something she sees on television, a bug, wind, ect.  Talk to your veterinarian about Acepromazine.  This is a slight sedative that is used for dogs who have this problem.  I am sure this will help tremendously!
