Westie - bladder problems?

hi there,

my westie is getting on a bit - he is 12 years old now and i have noticed he is drinking a lot of water. altough he goes out regularly for walks i have noticed he is sometimes weeing overnight.

is this just a normal part of growing old as he is fine otherwise.

Hi Julie - Please take your little guy to the vet for some blood work. It could be diabetes or thyroid disease.  He would need some medication for the two.
I hope it is nothing....but with his age, you need to have him checked out.  
Please call your vet this week.
