Stinky Cat

Question
Hi Marie,

I work with a dog/cat rescue in my area. I rescued 3 cats that were abandoned after the person moved. Two of the cats are male and one is female.

One of the males cats stinks. He smells so horrible that it is hard to breathe. He has been vetted and has a clean bill of health. He was recently in some type of fight before I rescued him. So he had lots of blood on his fur. While at the vet he was washed. So I knew he would be clean and smell great after I picked him up.

Well that amazing smell lasted all of 1 day. This cat stinks to high heaven and back again. I know I could give him a bath but I have no desire to come away in the losing end of that battle. Then I am on blood thinners so me and giving cats a bath are not something that should happen.

I honestly cannot describe the smell except to state it is worse than cat urine markings. Do you honestly know of anything I can do to help this cat smell better? I know right now there is no way anyone would be willing to adopt him.

The other two cats do not smell. If all three of the cats smelled I would understand that to be something from the previous owners. But it is only the one cat. I rescued this male cat Thursday. He was fixed on Friday and I picked him up that evening. It is late Saturday evening and the smell just keeps getting stronger.

Thanks for your time and advice.

oh boy, Well thanks so much for being a hero and rescuing ...
For the smelly cat let's assume he has an over growth of yeast bacteria

Try giving him 1 teaspoon per day of GREEK low fat plain yogurt . ( do this for 2 weeks )

Also, order him this supplement - NuVET Plus Feline powder .. mix this into his food daily long term .. they can all have the NuVET plus powder , just mix it into the dry food

it's holistic order here  http://www.nuvet.com/81098   Tell them you want auto ship and you will get 15% off with order code 81098

I bet the GREEK yogurt and the NuVET Feline will help

Blessings,

Marie
