Foot Care

Large foot pad. Has a wound from runnung in the field. The size and shape of a #2 pencil eraser. Had it for three month's. My vet said it would heal by it self. Been to vet two time's. Any suggestion's.

I don't know what to tell you Kay because I don't know if this is a cut, an abrasion, a jagged rip, a puncture?
Please be more specific. Some wounds do heal by themselves, some need a covering to heal. Some need sutures.
I can't tell you more then that with the limited information you presented here.
