3.5 month old cat with fleas

hi ellen.
  hope you can help? i have a kitten i got from my friend lastweek she is so cute. i keep her inside of our house i have no other pets . and she has fleas all over her. my dad told me its the season for fleas. so i bought fleas soap and dipp but she still has fleas. im scared to ask my dad to take her to the vets he will get mad. is there anything i can do for princess i have 30 dollars my grammy gave me :)     hope you can help

wash your cat in dawn liquid dish soap first.

then apply ADVANTAGE ( you can get this from Petsmart/Petco)

Your dad needs to be a responsible parent and help you wiht this situation. She needs to get checked out.

DO NOT use flea soap/shampoos/powders. they are poisonous.

DO NOT USE ANY HARTZ FLEA PRODUCTS they are POISONOUS
