Question
tHERE IS NO WAY TO GIVE MY DOG A PILL.  ANY IDEAS?

Answer
There are many ways to give your dog a pill. You can wrap it in cream cheese, liverwurst, peanut butter, a pill pocket (from the vets- they are like a treat), cheddar cheese, dog food soft chunks, etc.

If you put the pill deep enough into one of these things (just enough to cover it completely) then make your dog sit like he/she is getting treat, then give it to them (better if you can toss it into the air and they catch it).

That's the fastest and easiest way to do it.

What kind of pill are you giving? If they are bitter (like prednisone), use something very tasty like peanut butter or liverwurst. If they are not as bitter, then use something like cream cheese. Dogs love cheese!

Just make sure you ONLY use the food to pill the dog. Do not give it for a treat normally, or this diminishes the effectiveness and can cause digestive problems.
