dogs vaccinations

Last Thursday my Jack Russell puppy....4 mos....had her rabies vaccine....it left a knot on her shoulder....vet says sometimes this happens with the killed vaccine....what can I do....he said Absorbine Jr and rub it...I'm very disgusted that this happened....surely they should have "rubbed" more themselves....Thank you for any advice.

Hi Sammi.  I completely understand that you're disgusted.  This happened to my dog a few years back.  This lump could last for up to 4 months.  It will, though, eventually go away.  At this point, rubbing it will probably not get rid of the lump, but it will not cause any health problems.
Give that little Jack Russell tons of kisses for me!
