 I have you are having a good day. :)

Well, my question is this. I have a Papillon that should be coming into her second heat cycle any time now. We also own a male and were wanting to breed her this time. But my question is, is there any kind of test that could tell us if she will be coming in soon? I'm a little worried since we will be leaving for a two week vacation on the 1st of August and we are worried that she might come in heat while we are gone causing us to miss it. So any advise would be great. :) Thank you..Kristin

Hopefully your dog is 2 or older before you breed her and had her hips/shoulders/ and elbows xrayed as well as making sure her parents and the sire's parents for any heart disease or other before you breed it down.

There is no OTC test. BUT you can go to your vet to have her hormone levels checked. :)
