My dogs poor droopy tail!

Thank you for taking my question. My dog is a 4 yr.old mixed female terrier, very energetic and always wagging her tail in a raised position, especially at playtime. After she went to go potty yesterday, she came back with her tail curled downward, and remains in that position even as I am writing to you! She does not appear to be in any pain, but she does lay down and lick the part of the tail where it is curving down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

She may have injured it or have a sore bottom.  I would keep an eye on her and if it is not better, take her to the vet.  If she is not currently on any medication or does not have any medical problems, you can try giving her baby aspirin=81 mg (1 per 15 pounds of weight) to see if that helps her.
