Question
I have a 5 year old male pitbull..In the last week I have noticed that is just not himself..He is shedding ALOT ,seems to be losing a little weight, and just a few minutes ago , I noticed that he was peeing blood..Do you have any ideas on what could be going on with him. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow...Thanks..

Answer
Hi Kelly!  It is definately a good idea to take him to the vet tomorrow.  Generally, blood in the urine is usually a cause from a urinary track infection or a bladder infection.  This can be easily cured with antibiotics from your veterinarian.  Shedding and losing weight can be the symptoms of an intestinal parasite.  This can also be easily cured by a dewormer that is given to you by your veterinarian.  I hope this helps and I hope your boy feels better soon!
