Question
I just bought a 11 wk old cavalier king Charles spaniel. He is adorable. He has been home about day and half and he is now having seizures, I am beside myself looking up everything and gaining all the knowledge I can, I really don't want to lose the dog, is there any chance he can out grow this?

Answer
Rarely do they completely outgrow them. Of course it can be controlled by medication- for life. The most common advice you will get is to take him back to the breeder and get another puppy. They need to know that this puppy is seizuring and they need to stop breeding the dogs that had this puppy.

You need to get him to the vet tomorrow if you are going to keep him. Sometimes these can be caused by low blood sugar, but you need to have a vet evaluate him to know the difference.

I am sorry this is happening, it is so easy to get attached right away.
So call the vet's in the morning and call the breeder you got him from.
