Question
I have had my dog since 2003 she is part Shephard and Terrior. We have noticed she has been chewing alot on everything and checked her mouth and all of he front teeth are gone. We have recently moved and are looking for  vet in the are but are curious about this. Is this normal or something we should definitly get checked out?

Answer
When dog's are chewers like this they wear down their incisors first. Rocks and even chewing on their own coats will wear down the teeth like that from attrition. Fleas are a big problem for that.

Normal isn't what I would call it but it isn't uncommon. If you really look at her teeth you will probably see the enamel on her canines is partially worn off also.

The only thing you can do is keep the rocks out of her mouth and keep her flea free.
