Question
My 5mo old cat is sneezing alot.Im sure she has a cold due to my air.I cant turn my air off just yet and im treating her with amoxicillin, will she be ok if I continue to leave the air on?I just had her fixed the Sunday before last, and she had all her shots, the vet gave her a clean bill of health, its only been in the past week that she has been sneezing, but she is sneezing alot. She doesnt have any eye discharge or other symptoms.

Answer
I don't understand why you can't turn off the air conditioning? Is is broken? Cats don't generally get colds like we do but they can get upper respiratory viruses. Sneezing, coughing, and drooling are usually the symptoms.

Having surgery is very stressful and her little body is just recovering, so any thing you can do to lessen her stress (such as not letting her be cold all the time) will help her get well.
Did you get the antibiotics from the vet? If so, I am guessing he saw her for this sneezing?

Sneezing can also be from dust in the air, from carpets and things like this.

Just keep her in the warmest room for now Cassandra. That way the dust won't be stirred up as much also. Maybe that will help some. I keep a cooler on all day too, but it's not air conditioning so it's just cool, not cold! Chances are her sneezing has more to do with dust then the cold.
