cats and muscle spasms,brown discharge from her anus

my cat spaz is a 5 year old female, she's been spade, has had all her shots, a few weeks ago I noticed a oily brown discharge on my bedspread, i asked my husband if he was bleeding from a finger cut or something, he said no, the next day spaz was on the couch with me when she jumped down i noticed the same oily brown discharge, also when she sleeps she has these body spasms that wake her up and she'll start crying, not loud or anything, almost like  a nightmare kinda thing then she'll go back to sleep, she's been doing this for about a year, not sure whats wrong with her, she's an indoor cat, never been outside, we also have two other cats and they are both fine, any idea what could be going on?

Lisa, I wonder if Spaz is having some seizure activity in her sleep?
Seizures will come in a human or pet's sleep more than any other time of the day.  I would take her in for some blood work.  Sometimes seizures are due to nutritional problems..

If they can't find anything wrong with the blood, then get back to me and we can talk diet and Supplements.  OK?
