Beagle / slightly larger muscle on back legs.

This maybe of really no concern but my 11 year old beagle / bassett (50/50) has developed what appears to be larger muscle masses (of equal size )at the top of each of his hind legs. I guess you could also call it his lower back.  He's not sensitive or necessarily hindered in walking.  I can massage these areas and he's not sensitive at all.  Its just what feels like muscle seems larger than I'd think it ought to be. What do you think?

I really had never heard of this before!It doesn't sound like anything serious but I would contact your veterinarian just to make sure.
