hurt backend

Two weeks ago I took my 3yr old lab for a walk.  She was fine on the walk, but later that day cried if her backend was touched.  She used to follow me upstairs, but now sits at the bottom crying.  When she does come up, it is very slow and both back legs come up at the same time.  I know she needs to go to the vet, but I am wondering what possibilities we are looking at.  Thank you so much, I miss my crazy acting dog!

You should have your examined as soon as possible!! It sounds as if your dog may have some time of neurological injury and that should be seen immediately.

There are many reasons why your dog is reluctant to go up the stairs - it may be simple arthritis or something more serious - have her examined as soon as you can.
