QuestionI had a rat who recently died. She had plenty of water, was just fed, and seemed perfectly healthy. She had a blanket in case she got cold and ice in a small bowl in case she got hot. I was wondering if you knew of anything else I could of done to keep her from dying? PS I don't know why she died. Sorry I'm kind of asking alot I was just wondering if you knew.
AnswerRats hide their illnesses a lot, so they often will just die. I think when it is my time to die I want to have just eaten and be on a blanket and not be sick ahead of time.
If you do get another rat, I would suggest splurging and having a phone appointment with Dr. Yearout (www.theAVH.org) who specializes in homeopathic treatment of exotic animals (yes that means rats, too).
