Question
My 1 yr old chi has diahrea again.  This has happened alot recently and lasts for a few days each time.  I took him to the vet and he could not find anything wrong.  Unfortunetly I was not able to get a stool sample, because it is completely liquidy.  It seems to happen every two weeks and he seems to be not as energenic.  Just tonight we noticed a little bit of red looking mucus with the last of the diahrea that came out.

Answer
Repeated loose stools will cause dehydration and blood and mucous in the stool is the intestinal walls sloughing with the strain of constant defecating.  I would take him to the Vet for fluid replacement and they can use a fecal loop to obtain a sample for evaluaion.  I would do this as soon as possible.  Medications to slow the diahrrea and treat the cause are available.  Dehydration is serious.

Be sure not to feed him any fatty foods, barbequed or smoked meats, or sweets.  I would get some Pedialyte and give it to him as much as he will drink.
