what vitamins or minerals is my cat lacking if she has developed dandruff. We feed her Science diet allergy.  She never used to have dandruff before.  Can u buy something for it like a supplement.  Is it essential fatty acids?

Hi Julie,
   Science Diet is one of the premium pet foods out there and you really don't need to add any type of supplement to cats food. Science Diet is very complete. If your cat is overweight maybe she is not grooming herself like she used to, therefore producing more dandruff. Another thought is that your home maybe dry, you know especially since we have been turning on the heat in our homes. The drier skin can cause dandruff. Just keep brushing her daily to stimulate her skin and coat.
