Question
QUESTION: Hello,
Our 5 year old neutered male German Shepherd started to develop long slobbers off the right side of his mouth. (He never did this, had since puppy), he also looks thinner or different in the face, and seems tired, although he is on benadryl for allergies.?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John and Kim

ANSWER: John, Please get him to the vet for some blood work.  Could be his liver ... Don't delay

QUESTION: Thank you very much.  Regarding food and nutrition, we have 2 german shepherds, and they both have ear issues, and lick their feet constantly.  I know it has something to do with a food allergy. We have fed them royal canin, for the last 2 years, and prior to that eukanuba.  My wife and I are not opposed to a cook, type diet (rice, chicken etc) . do you have any suggestions as to a "allergy free" diet?

Answer
ok, I was just wondering if he go into some poison?
If you feel it is food related - the Royal Canin has lots of fillers in it.. NOT good for dogs with allergies-
Eukanuba is even worse for dogs with food allergies.

I suggest Innova Evo - It will give him some quality - and 99 % Grain free formula.
Please feed your old food and the new food x 2 weeks ( Do a 50/50 mix)
Then, after a few weeks go to 100% Innova EVO.

Next, a must for your old dog is NuVET Plus - this will help him to fight off any environmental allergens and food allergens.
