Question
Hello, my mini rat terrier, Maggie, is about 4 years old and has been constantly throwing up every few hours. In our toilet we have gel stick on cleaning soap, and she only drinks cold fresh water, so she starts drinking out of there and there she goes throwing up. She refuses to drink out of the bowl the other 2 dogs use, and it is a huge supply of cold fresh water. Why will she only drink out of the toilet bowl? I close the toilet lids, but she is so intelligent that she lifts it up with her snout. I also closed the door, but all the dogs push it open. How can I make her stop? Should  just stop using the gel soaps? How can i get her to drink out of the bowl my other dogs drink out of? Any help?

Answer
Yes, stop using the gel sticks.
If she has been vomiting every few hours she may become dehydrated and should be seen by a veterinary clinic.

Let her drink out of the toilet bowl and just keep it clean without using chemicals.

There are, I believe, some toilet seat locks to keep children out of the toilet.
