Question
ok i am not sure if this is an ear disease i am wondering if it could also be worms. i have a five month old kitten and he was an outside kitten until the mama cat came up missing i brought him in so he wouldnt be lonely and i wouldn't have to worry about him. but ever since i brought him in he is in like a catatonic state you can pick him and move him anyway you want and he just lets you as he stares off into space! he is eating and drinking and using the bathroom regualry, and his ears seem to bother him he scratches on them and he gets mad if you get near them! can cats become severly depressed? because it also looks as if that could be the problem but i think he is really sick he hardly ever moves the pas few days he will get up and walk around the house then find a new spot to lay for 8 hours or more. please help if you can it will be much appreciated!

Answer
If he is painful around the head, he will not want to move about very much because it hurts.  Pain limits movements.  You need to take the kitty to the vet for a good examination.  It could be ear mites or an ear infection.  I doubt that worms would do that, but in a young kitty, a stool check would be needed to tell if he has worms.
