lump on my doggie

Hi there,

I am very concerned about my chihuahua.. He has has lump on his face on 3 separate occasions in the matter of 2 months.. This lump is so big that it is kind of hard for my dog to see. The lump is filled with pus and lately he has been acting different. He gets scared very easily..he is barking more now...I would like ur advice before i go to the vet..thank you :)...can u please tell me the reasons why he might have this problem? we live in nyc so there arent an abundant of wild creatures runnign around. it thought something might bave bit him but now im not sure..

I cannot diagnose on the internet. The reason for the lump filling with luquid  all depends on where the lump is.  If it is under the eye or on the jaw, it could be a bad tooth abscessing.  The roots of the teeth are superficial.  It could also be a blocked salivary duct or a foreign body under the skin.  Check with your vet to see just exactly what this might be.
