worming barn cats

Hello,

We live on a farm and have a number of barn cats and kittens. I would like to worm them. We are unable to handle them--they simply run away. Is there any wormer than be either mixed with their food or put in their water? Thank you.

Best bet is to take a trip to the pet store and look what they have on the shelf.  Most dewormers are for roundworms.  If you can find one that does tapeworms too, that would be good as many barn cats will get them from mice and/or fleas.  Certainly you can grind up the pills or mix the liquid with food, it is just a matter of if the cats will eat it or not and get the proper dose.  I am not aware of any pet dewormers that are mixed in the water.
